Happy 2019! It’s a new year, and we’re all thinking about making changes, right? I know I’ve been writing out my goals for the new year, both on a professional and personal level. How about you? Is this something you do, sort of a mental “cleaning house” activity? (Perhaps you’re also literally cleaning your house, as I also am doing.)
When the year changes, everything feels new and fresh and young. The road stretches before us, with its limitless possibilities. Do you meet this with enthusiasm? Or do you feel daunted by the enormity of the task in front of you?
It’s a great time to get your mind in order. For some of us, healing is part of the journey toward getting our minds in order. We clean our psyches by repairing what we see as broken.
Massage can help heal not only the body, but also the mind. It does this through relaxation — and don’t knock relaxation till you’ve tried it! If you envision your mind as a cup, filled with thoughts and worries bubbling around, massage helps empty that cup.
