Welcome to Flow Holistic Wellness and Massage LLC! My name is Robin Dodds, and I am grateful and humbled to be able to assist others in healing. Here are a few fun facts about me:
This is my third career. After I graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill (North Carolina) in … well, the year isn’t relevant but suffice it to say it was a long time ago, I spent seven years in print journalism for The (Raleigh, N.C.) News & Observer. Later, I went back to school to receive my alternate teaching license. I taught elementary school music for three years and third grade for two. I feel like I’ve finally figured out what I want to be when I grow up.
I have wanted to do massage for a long time. This idea started brewing in my head 12 years ago, when I was pregnant with my fourth child. (Yes! I have four!) It continued to form when, not long after, my mother became sick with cancer and I learned about the power of oncology massage. At that point, though, all my children were too young for me to consider going to school. When I began to look for a skill to complement my Reiki practice, though, I realized that massage would be a natural fit.
I am a Reiki master. I received Reiki as a way to control my own extreme anxiety, and I became versed in Reiki as a way to help my children with their anxiety. I still receive Reiki as often as I can, and I would be happy to tell you more about it if you are interested – and if you’d like to book a session, let me know!
I do massage for children with special needs. Their needs run the gamut, and I am so privileged to know them and their families and walk their journey alongside them.
If you ever have questions about me or my practice, give me a shout-out at email@example.com or on Facebook @flowholisticwellness.
Be well and whole!
