Find your grounding. Find your peace.
Today we’re going to talk about the root chakra. Also known by its Sanskrit name, Muladhara, it’s the center of your sense of well-being.
Muladhara is located at the base of your spine. Typically, your root is associated with grounding: It’s what connects you with, well, everything. An open, healthy, flowing root chakra helps you feel at peace and comfortable in the world and in life. If, on the other hand, you are experiencing a blocked root chakra, you might experience feelings of insecurity, anxiousness, anger, and restlessness.
You might also experience disruption of this chakra if you are having trouble with your bladder or kidneys, or if you find you’re eating either too much or too little. Sexual dysfunction also can be tied to this chakra.
